Pork Belly Asian Style
Ingredients:
Cooking Oil, as needed
1 2kg Pork belly, bone in
200 gr corn flour
2 lt Asian Barbecue Sauce
Seasoning Ingredients:
1 ts ground ginger powder
1/2 ts ground cardamon
1 ts crushed coriander seeds
1 ts ground cumin
1 tbs sea salt
Method:
Mix the seasoning ingredients and season the pork belly. Heat enough cooking oil in a frying pot over medium-high in order to fry the pork. Cover the Belly in corn flour and deep fry until the corn flower becomes crispy and has a golden brown color. Preheat the oven to 160 degrees Celsius. In a roasting tray, add the fried pork and enough barbecue sauce to cover it. Cover the pan and cook in the oven for 1 and a half hour. After Cooking, leave the pork on a serving tray to rest. Strain the sauce and and it to a sauce pot, heat over medium heat for 4-5 minutes in order to reduce it and concentrate it’s flavors. Carve the belly in slices, pour over the wanted amount of sauce, and enjoy!
