The problem with them though, is that many people don’t really know how to cook them properly and are resolving to either buying frozen, precooked ones, or just order them from a takeout. In this article, we will be teaching you the proper way of frying crisp and delicious fries. Here are the most important steps one should take in order to do the task perfectly.

A. Cut all your fries in the same size: There’s a reason for that, and it’s not just the looks, when you cut everything that you cook in the same size, all the pieces that you are cooking will cook at the same time and evenly.

B. Preheat the oil: The temperatures will be given in the 4th tip, but, always preheat your frying oil, the reason is really simple, if the oil is not heated enough, the fries will act like sponges and just absorb most of he frying oil, making the fries’ taste like just plain cooking oil .

C. Never put too many fries in the pot: That’s pretty straight forward, if you put too many fries together, the oil’s temperature will rapidly drop, resolving to the same issues as step B.

D. Finally, Double cook the Fries: Firstly, fry the fries in a preheated oil at 140 degrees Celsius, take them out of the frying pot, heat the oil to 180, and fry again, that will resolve to really crispy on the outside but soft in the inside fries.
